The Challenge
Originally opened in 1989, the Jack Christiansen Running Track at Colorado State University has long been a cornerstone of the school’s athletic facilities. It proudly hosted the Mountain West Memorial Track & Field Championships in both 2005 and 2011, cementing its reputation as a premier venue in the region. By 2017, the time had come to revitalize the facility with a modern upgrade, one designed not only to meet the demands of today’s athletes but to last for decades to come.

Key Facts
The original Jack Christiansen Track was built in 1989 and was in need of renovations due to issues with the subgrade.
Colorado State University selected a post-tensioned concrete system due to its enhanced long-term durability over asphalt.
Nemaha supported the transformation as a subcontractor, assisting with base preparation and field event improvements to meet NCAA and IAAF standards.
Challenge Met
